I am truly curious what all of you think.
Thanks.
*UPDATE: I have been asked by a few what age was requested by the "older parents"?
Below is part of the response from my agency to me via email .
They don't mention the actual age requested by the older parents just that they were referred "outside the age range"
"The children who have been referred that were outside the age range that the parents were requesting were 3 or 4 years old. "
So come on people!! Please vote! It only takes a second!
What age do you think Abigail will be at referral?
It's just for fun and something to do during the wait!

With my agency's monthly update there was mention that the CCAA is now referring older children to older parents...(that would be me).
So that got me thinking???? I emailed my agency with that question. I asked them how old are the children that are being referred to the older parents?
The answer was 3-4 years old! Wow! So now I am thinking that Abigail may be 4 Years Old!!
Not only has this wait gotten so very unpredictable, now the age of my daughter has gotten that way as well!! I am so glad I have not bought anything for Abigail as yet.
I have now started saying "little sister" when speaking of Abigail to Loren instead of "baby sister"!
Just for fun I asked Loren how old she thought her sister was and she said 4 Years Old!! (she is not aware of what ages are being referred)
Loren also told me in 2006 that we would not be going to China until June!
I knew it wasn't June 06 (that was too soon) and at the time I thought that June 07 was out of the question because that was too too long a wait (ha! ha!) But now I think she may be right!! June of 2008!! I still can't believe that it has gotten this long.
With all that said, I have started a poll on the sidebar of how old you think Abigail will be at time of referral.
I will be interested to see what you all think.
Until that day....I wait.

Just playing around with the blogger. Trying to fix some stuff. What are html tags?
what age did these "older" parents request, I wonder.
We are one of those "older" parents (I will be 50 in 2 months and DH is 56). We were able to request any age child (we requested 12 month to 24 month), but our agency said, due to our age (back in July 2005) we would have to accept up to a 36 month old which we agreed to. Hey, China was the ONLY country who would take a parent over 50.
We are now expecting that our new daughter will be 36 months. That is what we are preparing for (we also asked for twins!).
We have two grand-daughters so are well (??) prepared! Ha!
