Yesterday afternoon after school my daughter "hung out" at the hairdressers with my mother (who was getting a perm) until I got home from the Vets with Nick. (yearly physical and ear infections)
Well, while at the hairdressers Loren was talking to Debbie (our hairdresser) about different things, asking Deb for a lollipop etc.
A lady having her hair done turns to my mother and says......
"Oh my goodness!!" "She speaks English so CLEARLY!"

Vet Bill- $256.56
Duh- Priceless

Loren's First Tooth

Today was the day IT HAPPENED!
Loren lost her first tooth!
Now to everyone who knows me knows how I feel about it.
I was nervous and sad. But Loren was so excited I had to make believe I was too!
I don't know what it is but I have been agonizing over her losing her baby teeth.
It may be because this is the end of babyhood.
Baby bottles are gone, diapers are gone, crib is gone, stroller is gone and now her teeth are going. I hate it.
My baby is growing up. And thats scarey.

Kayla's Birthday Party

Today my Great Niece Kayla (Yikes! GREAT NIECE!!) turned 5 years old.
We had a small Birthday Party for her at my house.
It was very very humid today so everyone pretty much stayed in the pool.

I had a bit of a dilemma recently. You see the person who was supposed to travel with me to China backed out for personal reasons. Leaving me traveling alone with Loren.
Some family members are afraid to fly long distances and my mother isn't well enough to travel that far.
So I have been trying to figure out how I would manage in China with my 2 girls.
I didn't really want to do this and have been worrying about it.
My friend Michelle aka Auntie Mitch traveled with me last time but now 5years later she has certain obligations to her family so I didn't even ask her this time.
I prayed about this, not knowing what to do.
Mitch kept coming to mind so earlier this week I called Mitch and explained my situation and she is Coming to China with me again!!....as long as I don't travel in January, beginning of Feb.
I know...I know....There might be a chance that I do travel then but I leave it in God's Hands.

My guess for travel??? End of February, beginning of March. Just a feeling.
I keep thinking that Forever Day will be around March 8th. I guess we will all just have to wait and see how close I am.
Any other guesses out there??

A Dog Day

Nick is NOT a fan of rainy days and HOT days.
Today with the temp. at 92 degrees my buddy was not a happy camper.
I took this picture after I forced Nick to go outside and "pee".
He went out (not happily), quickly did his business and demanded to be let in immediately. He does this with his persistent scratching at the door!
He is a True New Englander.

Loren had an Idea.

Loren decided to cut her hair yesterday while I was at work.
I came home Wednesday morning to find this!!
I had a heck of a time trying to figure out what to do with her new "BANGS".
Ya know...the ones that have been growing out for the past 2 YEARS!!!!!!
I guess we are back to square one with growing out the bangs!!
My Mother (Loren's Protector) had to let me know I also did this "way back when".
Let me tell you I WAS NOT very happy this morning.

Loren??? Oh she's just fine. However she did tell me, when she came home from school, that she wants me to "Stop talking about it!"
OK..........for now. ;)

Happy 4th Everyone!
We had a cookout today but the weather didn't really cooperate.
It was cloudy and a little cool with drizzle.
Worked last night 7p-7a slept about 3hours then got up to prepare for the cookout.
When I finally sat down I realized I left my camera in the house. Too lazy to get up and go get it, so no pictures today!!
