Well I'm hearing that Nov.14,2005 is the cut-off for referrals this month.
Will this 1 week a month ever end???? Sigh :(

However a HUGE congratulations to ALL who received and will be receiving referrals this month!! Hooray!! Your time has come!!

Happy 4th Everyone!
We had a cookout today but the weather didn't really cooperate.
It was cloudy and a little cool with drizzle.
Worked last night 7p-7a slept about 3hours then got up to prepare for the cookout.
When I finally sat down I realized I left my camera in the house. Too lazy to get up and go get it, so no pictures today!!
Hope everyone's day went well.

Our "China Friends" came over today to play in the pool.

We met in China in 02 (travel group) and have remained friends.

Kristen (and hopefully Jordan) will be traveling to China with Loren and I when its FINALLY TIME to bring Abigail home.

Loren's New Pool

Today Loren finally got to go into her new pool.

It's one of those "filler upper" pools. It has a blow up ring on the top and then the pool "grows" as it fills with water.

I was a little skeptical, but its pretty nice!

p.s. With the temp in the 90's and a bit humid..... I liked it too!!

Loving Our Fur Babies

On a blog I browse (Journey to Ms. Hannah) they recently lost their pet Copper to cancer.
My heart breaks for them. Losing a pet is one of the worst things in life.
Reading their posts of how they love their "buddy" brings back memories of my Forever Fur Babies.
So I am taking a few moments to say:

I will ALWAYS love you my babies. I think of you (all of you).
I remember the good and funny times. I still cry, at times, remembering losing you.
But I believe we will be together again.

My Fur Babies:

Taffy My first dog. I asked my parents for a puppy. They said "When you turn 6yo."
Well when I finally turned 6yo you came into my life.
5yo when you left us. Way too soon.

Co-Co My beautiful Chocolate Poodle 9yo. when you left us.

Mandi My Collie and Golden mix. My big girl. 12yo when you left us.

Peanuts A previous abused little dog that we had briefly. (? age)

Bear My beautiful Black Chow Chow. 5yo That I found abandoned in the neighborhood.
We only had 4 years together. I am so sorry that I did not check the front gate.
I don't think I will ever forgive myself. Ever. I miss you.
I still have a problem looking at the UPS drivers, knowing that one of them didn't
shut the gate behind them.

Bandit "My Gentleman" My first kitty cat. So small and so friendly.
Just a baby, not even a year old, out in the elements.
You were determined to live with me. I am so glad you were persistant.
14yo when you left for the Rainbow Bridge.

I love you all and miss you.

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. The Preschool Graduate

Loren graduated from Preschool on June 19th.

DREAMS

I have been having this Reoccuring Dream.

I am in China adopting my second daughter.
I am led into a room. My daughter is standing by the window. She is older!!
I am shocked. She begins to sob. I ask her what is wrong.
She says (speaks English in my dream!) "I know you don't want me because I am older and I want a family!"
She is sobbing so much I go to her and hold her tightly.
I can actually FEEL her sobs.
I hold her and tell her that its ok. I want her. I want her to become part of our family.
Then the dream is over.

My niece Jessica graduated from college on May 27th. (I know, I'm a little late downloading the pics.)
She received her BSN in Nursing. We are so proud of her.
Now its State Boards!! You will do fine Baby Girl!! Love Ya!!

Well, that's my dog Nick, under my bed after he spotted a FLY!! in the house.
Boy, do I feel safe when Nick's around!!
Can't help but love my "baby boy"!!

Not too worry, I took care of the fly.
Nick is feeling much better.

She recently returned home from China with her second daughter.

I am getting very depressed

Well, Just another 6 days of referrals for the month of June. That is very depressing.
If this keeps up I won't get a referral until April-ish next year!!
I don't know what else to say. When I was DTC (many moons ago) the wait was 8-10 months. There was no talk about the wait getting to 2-3 years.
It is very frustrating and did I say depressing?

Congratulations to all the families that got their referrals this month!!
